Stephanie Rosado
Camden, New Jersey
Stephanie “Star” Rosado was 26 years old when she was last seen by her roommate leaving her home on South Merrimac Road in Camden, New Jersey on Easter, April 12, 2009 to see her son at her mother’s house. She walked out the door with her backpack, got into a vehicle with an unknown person, and never made it to her destination.
On May 23, 2009, human remains were discovered along the Delaware River. It wasn’t until 2011 that these remains were confirmed to be Stephanie. Her case was then changed from a missing person to a suspicious death. More of her remains were discovered along the river in 2012, and they were officially linked to her the following year. Yet another discovery of human remains along the river was discovered in 2017 and were officially linked to her as well.
It is not clear if her backpack has been located.
According to her mother, Luz, Stephanie was always coming to her house to see her son, and visited every single holiday. Everything changed when Stephanie got married. After her marriage to this unspecified person, Stephanie got involved in a “high-risk” lifestyle and started going long periods of time without seeing family or friends. Luz says the last time she saw her daughter in person was around New Year’s Day in 2009. Her case is still unsolved.
