The Murdered
Richard Breitbarth
48 year old Richard Breitbarth was shot multiple times and then beaten with a blunt instrument in the driveway of his own home at 17 Baird Place in Whippany, New Jersey. This happened on Tuesday, November 12, 1996. He was killed between 8:35 and 8:45 p.m. Richard had just returned from shopping at the local grocery store.Â
The Hanover Township Police and other emergency workers responded to the scene and Richard was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:49 p.m.
Richard was the president and chief executive officer of a nutritional supplement firm called Biophase Systems Inc. located in Parsippany. He was also a professional photographer and had another company called Triad Productions.
His case remains unsolved.
