The Murdered Mildred Fulmer

The Murdered
Mildred Fulmer
Edison, New Jersey

On October 12, 1991, Mildred Fulmer was 72 years old when she was found strangled to death inside of her own home in the Colonial Square Townhouses, apartment 27F, in Edison New Jersey. Her daughter Robin was the one to find her mother. She said she kept trying to call Mildred until about 12 p.m, with no answers, so she decided to pay her a visit. Robin peeked through a window at the home, and she saw her mother lying on the floor.
During the investigation, the police found no signs of a break in, and nothing appeared to be missing from the home.
Mildred frequented the Foodtown Supermarket and the Burger King in the Inman Grove Shopping Center in Edison a few times a week, and in the summer she liked to go swimming in the Clark Community Pool on Featherbed Lane in Clark Township. Mildred drove a 1978 maroon Toyota.
Authorities are still trying to find witnesses in the area at the time that may have seen any activity on the soccer and football fields that are located behind Mildred’s home between 8:30 p.m. on Friday October 11th, and 12pm on Saturday, October 12th.
Mildred Fulmer’s murder remains unsolved.
