The Murdered
Sandra Kucks
Rocky Hill, New Jersey

The body of 37 year old Sandra Carol Kucks was discovered at 3:36 p.m. on September 14, 1976 inside of the family station wagon on a gravel road leading to the Kepner-Tregoe plant in a secluded, forested area off of Research Road in Montgomery, New Jersey. She was lying face up in the back seat of the vehicle wearing only a bra and underwear. Another source states she was “hunched over.”
She had ligature marks on her neck, concluding she had been strangled to death. An autopsy revealed that Sandra was killed just a few hours before her body was located.
At 9:45 a.m. that morning, Sandra’s husband reported her missing to the police and said she left their home, 6 Merrit Drive, at 8:40 p.m on the 13th and never returned. He says she did not tell him where she was going.
Neighbors told reporters that Sandra was wearing a back brace at this time, after she suffered a slipped disc while vacationing in Cape Cod.
Sandra was a mother of 3 children, Candy, Missy and Bruce. She has been described as a pleasant woman who was an active tennis player and often participated in events for the Rocky Hill Community Group. She had also recently started volunteering at the Princeton Medical Center.
The brutal murder of Sandra Carol Kucks remains unsolved.
