The Murdered
Michelle Farr
Allentown, Pennsylvania

On Wednesday, March 6, 1980 at 11:30 a.m., the body of little 6 year old Michelle Farr was located by fishermen in Lake Nockamixon Pennsylvania, after being kidnapped from Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was found fully clothed minus her jacket, floating in the northeast section of the lake, close to the intersection of Route 563 and 412 in Bucks County. An autopsy concluded that Michelle died from suffocation or strangulation.
Michelle was last seen 20 miles away, near the “Highway Superette” at 1032 South 5th Street on March 5th. She was walking home from a local grocery store at around 7:25 p.m. She purchased a loaf of bread and some lunch meat, which was later found on Rye Street, a small alley that is normally used as a shortcut. There was reportedly evidence that Michelle was taken from the alley in a car.
Michelle’s stepfather Richard was thoroughly questioned by investigators and he was given a polygraph text, which he claims to have passed. However, there are stories that Richard broke his two year old daughter’s arm in two places on January 29th of 1980, and Michelle’s mother Betty Ann filed a protection from abuse order against Richard for that. He was kicked out of the house for only 3 months.
