Ortley, South Dakota

At 9:30 p.m. on May 10th, 1990, 17 year old Candace Hope Grey was discovered deceased near the center line of U.S. Highway Route 12 near Ortley, South Dakota by a passing driver. It was said the area had heavy fog at the time, and Candace was struck and/or run over by a vehicle. 
Candace grew up in Waubay, South Dakota and attended Waubay High school.
Her tragic murder is still unsolved.
