23-year-old Ryan Main was found dead around 2:15 a.m. on December 26, 2023, near Wylie Avenue and Reed Street in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Police say surveillance footage captured two men walking toward Wood Alley shortly before the shooting and later fleeing the scene.
Ryan’s mother, Roni Martin, continues to seek justice a year later, urging witnesses to come forward. She highlighted the impact of her son’s death on his young child and expressed hope that newly released police videos and social media outreach will generate new leads.
The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is using monthly video releases to spotlight unsolved murders, including Ryan’s case. The Martin family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
