On the night of September 1, 2001, Thomas Ruiz was found critically injured on the sidewalk near Conklin Avenue and Gates Street in Binghamton. His wounds were consistent with a severe blow to the head, and despite efforts to save him, he tragically passed away. His death has been ruled a homicide, and investigators are still seeking answers.
