The Murdered
Rosalie Reisberg
New York, New York

🕯️ Unsolved Tragedy on West 87th Street 🕯️
In October 1975, 26 year old New York City nurse Rosalie DiPaola Reisberg was found brutally murdered in her West 87th Street apartment, a peaceful spot just steps from Riverside Drive. Discovered by her husband late that night, Rosalie was partially unclothed, her throat slashed, yet nothing was stolen and no signs of forced entry or sexual assault were found, leaving detectives baffled. Investigators believe she was killed sometime between 11 a.m., after speaking with her mother, and the early afternoon when she was expected at work and a scheduled hair appointment she never made. With no clear motive, no definitive timeline, and no solid leads, more than 30 detectives canvassed the neighborhood, reinterviewed witnesses, spoke with merchants, and retraced every step of her final hours. Despite their efforts, the case remains unsolved, leaving a haunting mystery on a quiet Manhattan block and a family without answers.
