Fifteen years after 48 year old mother of two Barbara Hamburg was found brutally murdered outside her Madison, Connecticut home on March 3, 2010, her case remains unsolved. Barbara, who was scheduled for a family court hearing that morning during a long running dispute with her ex-husband, never arrived. She was later discovered in her yard, hidden under cushions, having suffered both blunt and sharp force injuries.
Despite years of investigation, interviews, and even national attention from her son Madison’s HBO docuseries Murder on Middle Beach, no one has ever been arrested. The case has included scrutiny of family relationships, financial disputes, and Barbara’s involvement in a controversial “gifting table” group, but still, no clear answers.
Connecticut officials have announced a $50,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Police hope renewed attention will finally bring closure to Barbara’s loved ones. Even the smallest detail could help solve this heartbreaking cold case.
