In June 2008, 11 year old Gabrielle Lee tragically lost her life after being struck by a dark-colored Volkswagen Jetta while crossing Whalley Avenue in New Haven Connecticut on her way to help her family with laundry. The driver fled the scene, and the case remains unsolved. Gabrielle, smart, athletic, and full of life, was a fifth grader at Elm City College Prep, and her death deeply impacted her family, school, and community. Over the years, police have followed hundreds of leads and are still searching for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, including a bicyclist seen nearby that night. Authorities stress that someone out there knows the truth. A $10,000 reward is available for information leading to an arrest.
