Police are still searching for answers in the tragic case of Erika Cirioni, a 26 year old mother of two from Norwich Connecticut who vanished on New Year’s Eve 2006 and was found six years later, partially buried in a wooded area off Oxoboxo Dam Road in Montville CT. Although the cause of death remains undetermined, investigators have ruled it a homicide and continue to follow new leads, including recent searches of neighborhoods and an apartment in Norwich. Officers, state police, and cold case teams have gone door to door, revisited the discovery site, and urged the public to come forward with anything they may know.
