🕊️ Remembering Luis Gonzalez – Seeking Justice 🕊️

On February 10, 1990, 16 year old Luis Gonzalez, an admired Bassick High School student and standout athlete, was tragically shot outside his parents’ Vega Alta grocery store at 1160 State Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut. After being lured outside by a masked individual around 6:30 p.m., Luis was confronted by a small group of men, one of whom shot him in the chest. Despite his injury, he managed to return inside, call for help, and was rushed to Park City Hospital by his mother, but he sadly passed away shortly after. Described as a good kid with no trouble in his past, Luis’s life was cut short by individuals wearing ski masks, including a shooter identified as a Black male in a red shirt and red hat. His family and the community continue to seek answers and justice.
