🔍 Cold Case: Marie Techlowec Nielsen 🔍

On June 18, 1987, 17 year old Peter Barrera entered his New Britain, Connecticut apartment through a window, having earlier given his mother his key after she locked hers in her car, and made a heartbreaking discovery. Inside, he found his mother, Marie Techlowec Nielsen, lying face-down on her bedroom bed. Her legs were bound with clothing, and investigators later determined that she had died from asphyxia due to strangulation.
