🔍 Cold Case: The Murder of Pamela Jane Pepper-Jerome 💔

Pamela Jane Pepper-Jerome, a 43 year old Bridgeport woman, was found strangled on January 13, 1986, in a wooded area of Redding Connecticut. Known to frequent downtown Bridgeport, she was last seen alive in November 1985. Her body, partially buried in snow and unclothed from the waist down, was discovered by a D.E.E.P (Department of Energy and Environmental Protection) officer patrolling land owned by the Bridgeport Hydraulic Company. Despite decades of investigation and a reward offer, her case remains unsolved. Now, nearly 40 years later, State’s Attorney David Applegate has renewed efforts, working closely with state police and forensic labs. New information suggests the killer may have been a male hunter familiar with the Redding area and with ties to Bridgeport, and a Benson & Hedges 100’s cigarette pack found near the body may offer clues. Authorities hope that releasing fresh details will spark memories and finally bring justice for Pamela.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime Squad or the Cold Case Unit tip line. 🙏🕊️
