🕊️ Unsolved Murder: Donna Lee Hart 🕊️

Donna Lee Hart, a 24 year old woman was tragically murdered in her home along Route 29 in Herkimer County, New York, in the early hours of August 8, 1968. Just after midnight, Donna called her father in fear, reporting a man wearing a stocking over his head attempting to break into her home. He rushed to her residence within minutes but heard gunshots as he arrived. The intruder had forced his way inside, chased Donna upstairs as she tried to hide in a closet, and shot her four times before fleeing the scene. Despite hundreds of interviews, numerous leads, and decades of investigation, the case remains unsolved. More than 50 years later, New York State Police continue to hope someone will come forward with information to finally bring justice to Donna’s memory.
