🚨 Cold Case: Justice for John Sutton🕯️
On the evening of December 15, 1961, 16 year old John Raymond Sutton was working alone as an attendant at Clark’s Esso Service Station on Route 104 in Ontario, Wayne County, New York. Around 6:30 p.m., the station was robbed, and John was brutally attacked, he was struck on the head and shot once. He was found unconscious shortly after 7:00 p.m. by the station owner and later died at a Rochester hospital. Over 60 years later, New York State Police continue to seek answers in this unsolved homicide and are asking for the public’s help. Investigators are especially interested in identifying a customer seen at the station that night: a white male, approximately 35 to 40 years old, around 5’10” to 6’ tall, about 175 pounds, wearing a white shirt, dark trousers, a dark fedora, and black gloves. He was reportedly driving a dark-colored late 1950s vehicle, possibly a Plymouth, with fin-style rear fenders and a dark green license plate that may have been from Ohio.
