On July 21, 1977, 28 year old Annie “Lois” Murchison was tragically killed in her home on Eastern Avenue in Springfield, Massachusetts. A devoted mother of three and a trusted neighborhood daycare provider, Annie was discovered early that morning by a family member. Her children, ages 9, 4, and 2, were found safe and asleep upstairs. A neighbor later recalled hearing tires screeching late the night before, and while the weapon was never recovered, investigators noted physical evidence that could make this case worth revisiting today.
