🔍 Unsolved: The Murder of John “Johnny” Donaldson 🚗

In the early morning hours of April 6, 1979, 20 year old John “Johnny” Donaldson was shot and killed while sitting in his car outside his family’s home on Lovers Lane in Harvard, Massachusetts. After finishing a late dishwashing shift at the Sheraton Boxborough Hotel, Johnny spent the night hanging out with coworkers before driving one friend home and returning to his parents’ house, where he often sat in his car listening to music before going inside. Around 3:50 a.m., a police officer named Ronald Robbins briefly spoke with John. He saw him sitting behind the wheel of his orange Ford Pinto in the driveway and stopped to check on him. John said he had worked late and was finishing up a cigarette. Officer Robbins told him to go inside when he was done, and continued on his way.
He was the last known person to see John alive.
Moments later, John was murdered in his vehicle. He was not discovered by his brother until 6:45 a.m.
Investigators later found .22 caliber shell casings at the scene, with similar casings discovered in nearby Boxborough, suggesting a possible connection. More than four decades later, the case remains unsolved.
