On the morning of December 1, 1984, Washington Township NJ police responded to a 911 call reporting a woman’s body found in a backyard on Meisten Street. Officers identified the victim as 55 year old Doris Weatherwalks, and an autopsy later confirmed her death was a homicide. She was beaten in the head with a ball peen hammer that was later found behind her home in some bushes.Β 

The following day, her pocketbook was discovered in Jersey City, containing personal items including her wallet, credit cards, and checkbooks.

Her case is still unsolved.
