🌹 A Mother Lost, Justice Still Waiting 🕯️

On the morning of June 10, 2012, a bicyclist discovered the body of 33 year old Janell Earlita Balogun in a wooded area along Frederick and River Roads in the Oella neighborhood of Catonsville, Maryland. Found lying behind a short wall near the road and without identification, Janell, a mother of three from Baltimore, was later identified through fingerprints. Although there were no immediately visible injuries, an autopsy determined she died from trauma to the upper body, and her death was ruled a homicide. The shocking loss devastated her family, who described her as a kind person and said the area where she was found was unfamiliar to her, suggesting her body may have been placed there. Despite public appeals for information and a reward offered, detectives have never named a suspect, and more than a decade later, Janell’s murder remains unsolved as authorities continue to urge anyone with information to come forward. 💔
