On the cold night of February 21, 2019, 27 year old Artis Dewayne Holt Jr. was tragically shot and killed in the parking lot of a shopping center on Liberty Road in Windsor Mill, Maryland. Artis had been visiting local businesses with his brother and a friend when a suspect suddenly emerged, approached him, and opened fire before fleeing on foot. Responding officers found Artis suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Surveillance footage captured the attack, but the shooter’s identity remains unknown, leaving the case unresolved. Loved ones remember Artis as a loyal, kind-hearted former athlete who cherished family, especially his young son. His parents continue to grieve deeply while holding on to memories of his vibrant spirit and hoping for justice in his name. 🕯️💙🙏
