🔍 Cold Case: The Targeted Killing of Paul Monk 🕊️
On the night of August 5, 1992, Baltimore County Maryland Police responded to a shooting in the rear parking lot of Clayton’s Bar and Grille on Belair Road in Overlea, where 35 year old Paul Gregory Monk was found fatally wounded by multiple gunshots. Paul had just left the bar with friends after attending an Orioles game and was walking to his car when an unknown assailant deliberately approached him, passed by others nearby, and shot him multiple times before fleeing south on Belair Road. Investigators believe the attack was a planned, targeted ambush, an outdoor lightbulb had even been unscrewed to darken the area, yet no motive, suspects, or prior conflicts were ever identified. With no security cameras and limited physical evidence, the case went cold, but detectives continue to seek answers more than three decades later. A reward of up to $2,000 remains available for information that could help solve Monk’s murder and bring closure to his family. 💔🕯️🔎
