Willard “Will” Rykowski, an 80 year old Lansdowne, Maryland resident, was found murdered in his home on April 22, 2014, after failing to arrive at St. Clement Catholic Church as expected. Concerned parishioners who couldn’t reach him requested a welfare check, and police discovered Will stabbed to death on the living room floor of his Third Avenue home. Well known and deeply loved in his community, Will lived alone but was very active in his church and a familiar face at local spots, remembered for his kindness and routine presence. His sudden and brutal death shocked neighbors and parishioners alike. Despite ongoing investigation, Baltimore County Police report there are still very few leads, and a reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information that helps solve the case.
