🕯️ Remembering Susana Thatcher 🕊️
In the early morning hours of December 8, 1978, Baltimore County Maryland Police responded to a call about a body found near Norris Lane and Trappe Road in Dundalk, where an unidentified woman was discovered and pronounced dead at the scene, later determined to have been strangled. The following day, she was identified as 52 year old Susana Thatcher, who had been reported missing by her daughter after last being seen by family on the evening of December 7 near Eastern and Dundalk avenues. Hours before her death, Susana called a friend and said she was heading to an apartment in Baltimore City’s Mt. Washington area, though she was not driving and her means of travel remain unknown. More than four decades later, the case remains unsolved, but cold case detectives continue to seek answers, including identifying individuals in a recently released photograph connected to Susana’s social circle.
Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward, as tips may help bring long-awaited closure to her family. Please call 1-866-7-LOCKUP. 💔🙏
