🔍 Vincent Palmieri: Unsolved Homicide 🔍
Vincent Palmieri, a 36 year old husband and father from New York City, vanished on May 2, 1972 after leaving for work and was never seen again. Nearly a month later, an unidentified man was found shot multiple times and floating in the Passumpsic River in Barnet, Vermont, but his identity remained unknown for decades due to limited forensic technology at the time. In 2007, new fingerprint analysis finally identified the victim as Vincent, though his family wasn’t notified until 2017. Despite suspicions of a mob-style killing, no motive or suspect has ever been established, and the case remains unsolved. Vincent’s remains were eventually returned home, allowing his family to begin healing after more than 45 years of unanswered questions. 💔
