Dean Webster, a 28 year old Rochester, Vermont resident, was found murdered outside the home he was building on Sky Hollow Road on November 17, 2001. Evidence at the scene and an autopsy confirmed his death was a homicide, not an accident, and investigators determined the gun used was not one Dean owned. The case remains unsolved despite extensive evidence collection, renewed investigation efforts in 2016, and the discovery of new DNA profiles. Dean was known as kind, hardworking, and well-liked, with no known enemies or motive for the crime. His family, especially his sister Sandy, who later completed and moved into his home, continues to seek answers and justice.
