 Unidentified John Doe — Old Bridge Township, New Jersey 

On December 9, 1996, at approximately 9:35 a.m., hunters discovered the body of an unidentified white male in a wooded area off Old Mill Road, west of U.S. Route 9, in Old Bridge Township. Despite extensive investigative efforts, including canvassing, distributing flyers, publishing photographs in newspapers, and contacting State Bureaus of Identification nationwide, the victim has never been identified.
The man, estimated to be between 25 and 35 years old, stood about 5’9″ to 5’10” tall and weighed approximately 160–180 pounds. He had sandy brown hair, brown eyes, a clean-shaven face, and a notably depressed bridge of the nose. His remains were recognizable at the time of discovery, and dental records, fingerprints, DNA, and body X-rays are available for comparison.
He was found fully clothed in designer-label attire, including a waist-length black Bill Bass leather jacket with a lamb’s wool collar (size 42), a multicolored Ottimo V-neck sweater (size XL), an Arrow print golf cotton shirt (size L), green Ralph Lauren corduroy trousers (size 32 x 28), black Adidas nylon swim-type trunks, black socks (size L), and black Italian Bloomingdale lace-up dress shoes (size 9.5). He also wore a gold chain necklace.
Investigators determined the victim had been bound with his hands behind his back and shot multiple times in the head. His death was ruled a homicide. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Middlesex County Crime Stoppers or the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
