Ziska Iyabo Rodgers Williams was a 19 year old Black woman whose life was tragically taken in 1996. On May 3, 1996, an unidentified body was discovered on Hunter Place in Woodbridge, Virginia. At the time, investigators did not know the victim’s identity. Days later, after a photograph of the young woman appeared in a newspaper, she was identified as Ziska. She had previously been reported missing in Washington, D.C., on May 7, 1996. An autopsy later revealed that she died from multiple stab wounds, and her case was officially ruled a homicide. Despite the efforts of the Prince William County Police Department, Ziska’s murder remains an active cold case. Authorities continue to seek information from the public that could help bring justice and closure to her family.
