The Nameless Hoboken Jane Doe (2005)

πŸ•ŠοΈ Hoboken Jane Doe: Help Bring Her Name Back 🌊

On February 9, 2005, the body of an unidentified woman was discovered in the river in Hoboken, located in Hudson County, New Jersey. Authorities believe the woman had been deceased for several months before she was found, with an estimated date of death around November 1, 2004. Her remains were in an advanced state of decomposition. Investigators determined the cause of death to be drowning, and there were no visible signs of trauma. Because of this, officials do not currently believe her death was a homicide, though it is possible she entered the river from another location before being carried to Hoboken.

The woman was estimated to be between 23 and 34 years old, White, standing between 5’3” and 5’5” and weighing approximately 145–165 pounds, with a medium to stocky build. She had brown hair, brown or hazel eyes, and pierced ears. Additional identifying details included very short fingernails and pink toenail polish. She had several dental fillings, and investigators were able to obtain dental records, fingerprints, and DNA for comparison. To date, 44 missing women have been ruled out as being this unidentified victim.

At the time she was found, she was wearing one black cowboy boot and two dark-colored socks with a floral design. She also had a Citizen quartz watch with a black band. No other personal belongings were recovered.

Despite years passing, her identity remains unknown. If you have any information that could help identify this woman, please contact the New Jersey State Police at 800-709-7090. Even the smallest detail could help return her name to her and provide answers for her family. πŸ•―οΈπŸ’”
