Idalia Mendez was 72 years old when she wandered away from her residence in Northfield New Jersey on July 5, 2023. She suffers from dementia and may be confused. She is from New Brunswick but recently moved to Northfield and is unfamiliar with the area. There is surveillance footage of Idalia walking on Doughty and Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township on the same day she disappeared. Idalia was last seen wearing a turquoise colored flower print shirt, blue jeans, a blue head scarf and gray Sketcher brand sneakers. She is 4 foot 9 inches tall and weighs around 95 lbs. Officials say that Idalia has difficulty exiting from closed doors.
