16-year-old Stacey Reddish was last seen leaving her home in Manhattan New York on the evening of July 12, 1981, and has not been heard from since. She lived with her family at the “Wagner Houses” also known as the “Triborough Houses,” a housing development in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan.
Stacey’s mother went to report her daughter missing and she was dismissed by authorities, as they claimed Stacey was probably with her boyfriend or had wanted to run away. Years later, Stacey’s sister Darlene attempted to report her missing. She was told she needed to go to the location of where Stacey went missing and once she got there she was to call the NYPD. In doing so, Darlene was told the case was too old and they had no leads. It was considered a cold case and they claimed there was nothing they could do.
The police gave this family the runaround. Stacey Reddish was finally reported missing on November 20, 2023.
Stacey is a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5’ 6” and weighed 110 lbs. at the time of her disappearance. She had a slim build with a dark complexion. She has a small scar on her face near her nose that was left as a result of her scratching herself when she had chicken pox as a small child. She has very straight hair and has a dimple under her chin. Her date of birth is listed as March 18th of 1965.
