Darryl Cedeno

Darryl Lawrence Cedeno was last seen on May 14, 2014 by Edgewater New Jersey Police after being transported to Palisade Medical Center for treatment. Darryl, age 28, has an unspecified mental illness along with depression and has been previously hospitalized both voluntary and involuntary in both New York and New Jersey. He is only a threat to himself and has no violent tendencies.
According to Reddit, there was an archived news article dated May 15, 2014 from NorthJersey.com that states the events that happened either on the day Darryl went missing or possibly the day after.
An incident report was made that Darryl had to be rescued from the Hudson River by the Edgewater fire department’s marine unit after a citizen called the police to report a man standing in his backyard holding a bag. The caller confronted the man, who then took off running. Police were later able to locate the man on Riverfront Walkway. It is stated that Darryl gave the officers a fake name before suddenly jumping over a rope fence and into the river below. He was treading water for around 15 minutes before he was pulled out by the marine unit. Darryl was charged with “obstructing the law and hindering his own apprehension.”
There are no other reports of Darryl after being transported to the hospital. Did he leave? Where did he go?
Darryl has a passport and has used it for travel outside of the U.S in the past. He is a black male, standing at 6’1” and weighed around 145 lbs at the time. (Some articles state he was 240 lbs.) He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black shirt. His date of birth is listed as January 8, 1986.
