The Missing Kevin Collins Jr.

The Missing
Kevin Collins Jr.
Salem County, New Jersey

21 year old Kevin L. Collins Jr. was last seen leaving the Inspira Medical Center on State Highway 45 in Mannington Township, Salem County New Jersey on Thursday, February 27th 2025. When he left the building at 4:00 p.m., he was wearing a hospital gown, which was found nearby. He was captured on surveillance footage an hour later, walking unclothed toward a wooded area near Griscom Drive, which is about a 9 minute walk from the medical center.

According to his mother Tinisha Hall, Kevin is experiencing a potential mental health crisis that causes him to be paranoid, and that he may run if approached.
Kevin had first called 911 on the morning of February 27th while he was driving in Pilesgrove, stating someone was harassing him. His family believes this was a symptom of his mental distress. NJ State Troopers pulled Kevin over for driving erratically and they quickly realized he was the 911 caller from earlier. The officers discovered he had an active warrant for not producing his registration during a previous traffic stop and he was given a new court date. Police took him in and called medical responders to evaluate Kevin. They deemed him fit to be released from the police station.
Hours later, Kevin called 911 again while driving in Alloway, and was then taken to the Inspira Medical Center.

Tinisha is quoted as saying, “I’m just taken aback with regards to how things were being handled and how my son wasn’t secure in a situation where he was safe when he reached out for help.”
According to an article posted from NJ.com, NJ State Police investigators located a hunters trail cam that was positioned in a wooded area near the hospital. One blurry image of Kevin, standing naked with his arms raised above his head. The photo was taken at 5:00 p.m., an hour after he was seen leaving the hospital.
Several air and ground searches of the area have been unsuccessful in locating Kevin.
Kevin is a black male standing at 5’5” and weighs approximately 115 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
