🕊️💙 Justice for Kelvin Powers Jr. — A Life Stolen Too Soon 💙🕊️
On the morning of February 11, 2015, 30-year-old Kelvin Powers Jr. was tragically murdered inside his own home at the William Penn Village Apartment Complex near New Castle, Delaware. What should have been the start of an ordinary day instead became a devastating tragedy that forever changed the lives of everyone who loved him.
At approximately 7:00 a.m., Kelvin’s girlfriend was leaving their apartment with her young son when they were suddenly confronted by two masked men armed with guns and knives. The men forced their way inside the apartment, where Kelvin was shot multiple times. Despite emergency responders’ efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His life was taken in an act of shocking and senseless violence.
Investigators recovered surveillance footage showing one of the suspects leaving the building before getting into a white Honda Civic with a dark-colored stripe across the top, where the second suspect was waiting behind the wheel. Although years have passed, the people responsible have never been identified or held accountable.
Kelvin’s family continues to live with the pain of losing someone they loved so deeply, while waiting for the justice he deserves. His murder remains unsolved, and the unanswered questions have left an unimaginable void that can never truly be filled.
A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the identification of those responsible for Kelvin’s murder.
