Yiear James Samuel West
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

Yiear James Samuel West was 28 years old when he was last seen after leaving his job at Outback Steakhouse in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on December 9, 2016.
He walked two miles down the road, first to a Wegmans store where he made a purchase. He then made his way to a convenience store called “Corner News” on Coal Street. Video footage of Yiear shows him using an ATM at 6:40 p.m. He took out $200 and left. He has not been seen since.
Prior to his disappearance, Yiear had stopped using his cellphone because he was being harassed by an ex. It was said that he did purchase another phone but it is unclear if he ever activated it and if he did, his family does not know the phone number.
Yiear is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing at 6’1” and weighing around 220 pounds. He had shoulder length dreadlocks and a “significant amount of facial hair” at the time. He has several burn marks on his forearms from his job as a grill cook. He also has a scar under his right eye.
Yiear was last seen wearing black pinstripe chefs pants with black croc shoes, black socks and a blue sweatshirt with a black beanie/knit hat on his head.
He left behind two young children. His mother Lisa, along with many other family members strongly believe something horrible happened to him.
