The Missing Heather Danielle Cannon

The Missing
Heather Danielle Cannon
Athens, Texas

Heather Danielle Cannon was 15 years old living in Athens Texas when, on August 27, 2009, she vanished without a trace. She was officially reported missing on September 5, 2009.
She was last seen with her biological father, a man named Jerral Allen Whitley.

Heather’s mom, Melissa, says she was spending the week with him at his home off Private Road 6802 in Athens. She told the local news, “Heather had called me the night before, just mad at me because I wouldn’t let her move to Colorado with her boyfriend.”
After a tedious investigation, there was no evidence to show she ever made it to Colorado.
Jerral refused to take a polygraph test after his daughter disappeared, and claims he thought Heather was with her mother. Years later he was eventually incarcerated in Florida for grand theft and several drug offences. He was released in October of 2014 after serving 18 months.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s office has been investigating new leads and tips for over 15 years, but no evidence has been found.
Heather is a white female with sandy brown hair and green or hazel eyes. She is 5’5” and weighs 140 pounds. Her navel and her tongue are pierced. She wears glasses. She has previously traveled to Florida and to New York.

Heather’s case is still unsolved. She is greatly missed by her friends and family, who will never give up the hope of finding her.

If you have any further information, I urge you to contact the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office at 903-675-5128.
