William Frederick Woolheater

22 year old William “Willie” Frederick Woolheater disappeared from his home in Albany New York in February of 1981. He previously told relatives he was planning on heading to New Orleans, Louisiana by bus to celebrate Mardi Gras and to look for work as a cook. It is said that he quite literally vanished while on the phone with his mother, who was asking him if he made it to New Orleans yet. He never responded and he has not been heard from again. The police were never able to determine whether Willie made it to Louisiana, or where the call came from.
William is described as a white male standing at 6’ 2” and weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He always wore glasses and a turquoise ring. At the time, William was taking medication for manic depression. He has a scar on his left middle finger, and had suffered facial lacerations due to a car accident. His ankle and nose were also fractured from the accident.
