Over a decade has passed since Hakeem “Sonny” Joseph was senselessly taken from his family, yet those who loved him are still searching for the answers they deserve. On the morning of March 25, 2015, the 32-year-old was working inside his family’s T-Market on Reservoir Avenue in Bridgeport, Connecticut, when a masked gunman entered the store just before 8:00 a.m. Surveillance video captured the suspect, wearing desert camouflage, a black hoodie, and a partial face covering, opening fire before fleeing just moments later. Investigators have confirmed that the shooting was not a robbery, making the motive behind Sonny’s murder even more heartbreaking and difficult to understand.

Despite years of investigation, no one has been held accountable for taking Sonny’s life. His family continues to carry the weight of this unimaginable loss while hoping that someone, somewhere, has the information needed to finally bring justice. To encourage anyone with knowledge of the case to come forward, Sonny’s family is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
