Sixteen year old Jericho Scott, a gifted athlete, beloved son, and standout baseball player, was tragically shot and killed just after midnight on April 19, 2015, while leaning into a car near his home on Exchange Street in New Haven Connecticut. Two others were wounded in the gunfire, which investigators believe came from a silver or gray four door sedan. Police say the shooting may have been retaliation for a prior incident, but Jericho was not the intended target. His family continues to honor his memory with community marches calling for an end to gun violence and urging anyone with information to come forward. This case remains unsolved after almost a decade, and his loved ones still seek justice.
