The Murdered
Lynda Moore
Saxtons River, Vermont

🌹🔎 WHO KILLED LYNDA MOORE? 🔎🌹
On April 15, 1986, 36-year-old Lynda Moore was home alone in Westminster, Vermont. Lynda was a wife, a mother of two, and a well-loved member of the Saxtons River community. She had a family who loved her and a life filled with people who cared deeply about her.
Then, one afternoon, everything changed.
Shortly after 3 p.m., Lynda’s husband returned home and made a horrifying discovery. She was lying on the living room floor, having been stabbed more than 20 times.
Investigators found evidence that Lynda had fought fiercely for her life. But the circumstances surrounding her murder raised even more questions. There were no signs of forced entry, there was no apparent robbery, and the murder weapon was never recovered.
The person responsible appeared to have fled immediately after the attack. Investigators worked tirelessly, conducting roadblocks, interviews, and developing composite sketches. Over the years, the case was revisited as forensic technology continued to advance. Yet despite decades of investigation, no one has ever been arrested for Lynda’s murder.
Today, more than 40 years later, her family and community are still left with the same painful questions:
Who killed Lynda?
Why was she targeted?
What happened that afternoon?
