A Father’s Life Cut Short: Who Killed Donald Elliott? 🔎💔
Thirty-one-year-old Donald Elliott, a logger and devoted father of three, lost his life to a senseless act of violence that has remained unanswered for more than four decades. During the early morning hours of May 20, 1984, Donald was found shot to death along Beebe Road in Derby Line, Vermont. His loved ones were left to grieve an unimaginable loss, while the person responsible disappeared without facing justice.
The night before his murder, Donald had been at a crowded bar inside the Del Monty Hotel in Rock Island (now Stanstead), Quebec. Witnesses recalled seeing him involved in an argument with another patron, but they also stated that he remained at the bar for some time afterward and eventually left without any further problems. Investigators interviewed everyone known to have been at the bar that night and ruled them out as suspects. As the investigation continued, authorities began to believe that Donald’s murder may not have been connected to the hotel or the argument at all.
Despite years of investigation, Donald’s murder remains unsolved. His family is still waiting for the answers they deserve, and someone may hold the key to finally uncovering the truth.
