💔 Heidi Martin: Unsolved Homicide 🔍

16 year old Heidi Martin disappeared on May 20, 1984, after going for a routine jog near her home in Hartland, Vermont. The following day, her body was discovered in a brook off a logging road near Martinsville Road, behind Hartland Elementary School. An autopsy confirmed she had been stabbed multiple times and drowned, though there was no evidence of sexual assault. A local man, Delbert Tallman, was briefly charged but later acquitted due to unreliable evidence and concerns over a coerced confession. Heidi’s family believes her case may be connected to the Connecticut River Valley serial killings, but no suspect has ever been held accountable.
