Mary Wilcox, a 77 year old woman from Westford, Vermont, was reported missing on November 10, 2006, by her daughter, with whom she was living at the time. Early reports suggested Mary may have been suicidal and wanted to return to Pennsylvania, possibly calling a taxi to leave. However, in December 2009, Vermont State Police revealed that their investigation determined Mary’s daughter was responsible for her death. Authorities believe her body was burned on the property in an attempt to conceal the crime, and her remains were later given to her grandson, Greg Sevigny, who is believed to have buried them in a wooded area of Westford. Mary’s daughter was eventually arrested and jailed. Despite these findings, Mary Wilcox’s remains have never been recovered, and the search continues. 💔🌲
