🚨 Missing Person: Dean M. Lewis 🚨
Dean M. Lewis has been missing since September 25, 2003, after he was last seen entering Hamlin Beach State Park in New York. Classified as Endangered Missing, Dean was 42 years old at the time of his disappearance. Born on February 18, 1961, he is a white male, 6’1″ tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. When last seen, he wore his hair in a ponytail and wore eyeglasses.
Dean, originally from San Francisco, had been traveling along the East Coast, staying at campgrounds within state parks. He was living out of his 1987 Volkswagen van, which was equipped with a kitchen and sleeping area, allowing him to travel for extended periods. He supported himself through a trust fund and was known to enjoy extensive traveling, often keeping to himself. However, his family says it was completely out of character for him to go so long without making contact.
On September 29, 2003, park authorities discovered Dean’s abandoned 1987 Volkswagen van at a campsite within Hamlin Beach State Park and contacted police. The New York State Park Police had responded to a report of illegal camping and a suspicious vehicle at site 172, which was confirmed to belong to Dean. Despite investigations, Dean has never been seen or heard from again, and his case remains unsolved.
Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Dean M. Lewis is urged to contact the New York State Police at 585-279-0144.
