🔍 Missing in Groton, CT: Where Is Max Scott??
Max Scott, a 27 year old man from Groton, Connecticut, has been missing since June 25–26, 2022, and his case remains open as investigators continue searching for answers. On the night of June 25, Max left his great-uncle Dan “Uncle Danny” Deleon’s home on Quincy Court with two acquaintances, walking less than a mile to a small trailer park on South Road. In the early morning hours, around 2 to 3 a.m., he was last seen leaving the area on foot, carrying a backpack and heading toward his home in Poquonnock Bridge, a short distance away. He never made it back. Described as 6’1″ with long brown hair, blue eyes, and facial hair, Max was known as a quiet, outdoorsy person who enjoyed kayaking, fishing, camping, and spending time near the water. His family says it would be completely out of character for him to disappear without contacting anyone, leading them to fear the worst.
Despite extensive investigative efforts led by Groton Town Police, including hundreds of interviews, reports, and collaboration with state and federal agencies, Max has never been found. Search efforts have spanned land and water, utilizing cadaver dogs, drones, dive teams, boats, and other specialized resources in areas like Bluff Point State Park and along the Poquonnock River. Early tips and ongoing speculation, including unconfirmed rumors of foul play, have not led to definitive answers. Authorities have stressed that members of the public may hold key information. Max’s family continues to advocate for answers and closure, sharing his story and urging anyone with information to come forward.
