Fairlawn NJ John Doe (2006)

πŸ’” Unidentified Man Found in the Passaic River β€” Can You Help Give Him Back His Name? πŸ•―οΈ

On August 23, 2006, the body of an unidentified white male was recovered from the Passaic River in Fair Lawn. Investigators believe he may have passed away sometime around January 1, 2006. Despite extensive efforts, his identity remains unknown, leaving a life story unfinished and loved ones without answers.

The man is estimated to have been born between 1941 and 1961 and was believed to be between 5’5″ and 5’7″ tall, weighing approximately 160 to 180 pounds. His hair and eye color could not be determined. He had noticeable scar tissue on his abdomen and wore full upper and lower dentures, details that may help someone recognize him. When he was found, he was wearing one black sock and one black shoe, a size 11 Triple E.

More than two decades have passed, yet this man remains unidentified. Somewhere, there may be family members, friends, neighbors, or former coworkers who have wondered what happened to him. Every unidentified person deserves to have their name restored and their story remembered.

A clay reconstruction was created to show what he may have looked like in life. If you recognize this individual or have any information that could assist investigators, please contact the New Jersey State Police at 1-800-709-7090.
