The Murdered Eleanor Sophia Lynch

Eleanor Sophia Lynch, 28, was found deceased at 7:00AM on Monday,
January 28, 1964 at 372 Mount Prospect Ave, Newark, Essex County, NJ, better known as the Cromwell Terrace Apartments, in the basement boiler room. The door to the basement and boiler room was usually kept unlocked according to the custodian who discovered the body. She was last seen early Monday morning at 12:30AM at the diner next door to her place of employment. Eleanor was a desk clerk at the Dixie Motel on Route 1 in Woodbridge. Remnants of take-out dinner on a desk in the motel office were found, along with the victim’s purse and identification. Her car was found in the parking lot of the motel.
Eleanor lived at 153 Cooper Street, Iselin, Woodbridge, NJ. She was married but separated, and a mother of three. Her estranged husband Edward Lynch, 29, determined to have been living in California since October of 1963 and was residing there during a murder that happened at 3359 Canyon Crest Drive, Altadena, California. This case is strangely not in the newspapers.
According to Dr. Edwin Albano, Chief medical examiner for Essex County, Eleanors report was as follows:
Cause of Death: “Multiple stab wounds to both sides of the chest, penetrating both lungs; bi-lateral hemo thorax, stab wound of lower back penetrating the liver, hemo Peritoneum.” Forensic Characteristics: Victim was abducted shortly after 12:30AM from place of work (motel office) – transported in perpetrator’s vehicle to an apartment building boiler room – found face down on a rug pad – the victims green colored coat was lying under the upper part of her body and a coverless pillow was on the floor near the victim’s head. Hands tied separately to pipe situated about six-to eight inches above the floor by neckties taken from old clothes storage box in basement – man’s shirt and necktie tied around face – (according to news media reports: the dress and sweater she was wearing was raised to her neck – wearing a bra) – undergarments, shoes and a stocking scattered on the floor – 62 stab wounds to the chest, back and side inflicted by a 2 and-a-half-inch pocket-knife style blade – $93 and a TV set missing from motel – night of Sunday-Monday. No report of penetrative rape. Time of death estimated at 4:00AM.
The case has not been solved.

The Murdered Sophie Olejnik

Sophie Olejnik

On June 2, 1963, a 14 year old girl named Sophie Olejnik departed her home at 49 N. 11th Avenue, Mannville, Somerset County, NJ, to attend a dance at the Polish Falcons Camp. She was last seen at 2:30PM walking on Champlain Road and turning south down Sunny Meade Road. The Polish Falcon Camp on Falcon Road was approximately 1.2 miles away. Six days later on June 8, 1963, her body was found face down in 6 inches of water in Royces Brook, 200 yards upstream from Sunnymeade Road, and about 600-800 yards south of where she was last seen.
Cause of Death: Forcible drowning
Forensic Characteristics: abducted or ambushed, killed in the vicinity of
the encounter – on rural road and bush terrain – found facedown in six
inches of water on bank of creek – mud and sand found in mouth – clad in orange blouse ripped open in the front – peddle-pusher style pants partly pulled down – no penetrative rape reported or determined – walked or forced through bush on a footpath from road to creek – drowned forcibly by head being held in mud and creek – purse found on the opposite bank of the creek with contents intact. – Sunday afternoon.
Sophie’s case has not been solved.

I will be posting my lists of unidentified persons in my own order of choice, continuing with an area of New Jersey called Warren County.
I am doing this to promote awareness of small town Doe’s that do not receive nearly enough media attention.

Circumstances: On January 29, 1976, skeletal remains were found in Knowlton Township, Warren County, NJ near the Delaware Water Gap.

Clothing: This individual was wearing a red V-neck pullover shirt with yellow piping on the front portion of the shoulder and blue and black piping around the neck, sleeves and waist. The victim was also wearing a red/white/blue print wrap-around skirt with a wide border print of peacocks on the lower portion.
Jewelry: Victim was wearing a gold colored chain with small white beads spaced evenly within the chain. Attached to the chain was a 14k gold cross with an ornate design.
Dental: Lower anterior teeth are crowded
Other: Red nail polish on right hand, no nail polish on left hand. Left ear double pierced, unknown right ear piercings.
Circumstances: Victim was found in a wooded area in Blairstown Cemetery, Route 94, Warren County, NJ on July 15,1982.

The Missing William Jones III

William Jones was last seen on December 17, 1962 in his backyard on Taylor Avenue in Vineland, New Jersey at about 1:00 p.m. He was playing with his two year old sister and the family dog while his mother watched through the window from inside. William’s mother went into a bedroom to check on her other son, and when she came out, her daughter was standing in the doorway, holding a plastic poinsettia flower. She stated William had given it to her and that a man had taken William.
Family and friends launched an immediate search of the neighborhood, but found no sign of the child and called the police after an hour of searching. William has never been heard from again. At the time of his disappearance, he was carrying a dime his mother had given him.
William did not have very good verbal skills in 1962. He loved dogs and had been given a puppy shortly before he vanished.
He has a Giraffe-shaped vaccination scar on his left arm. He was last seen wearing a blue snowsuit with large silver buttons with a matching hat and tan high-top tennis shoes with yellow laces. He goes by the nickname “Billy.”
Both of Williams parents are now deceased, but his younger sister is still alive and hopes he may be found one day.

The Missing William Jamison

William Joseph Jamison was last seen on the night of March 27, 1981 in Linden NJ. (some reports say Roselle Park, New Jersey.) He left his home in the Colfax Manor Apartments in the 600 block of St. Georges Avenue after working a regular shift at his job in Kenilworth, driving his company car, a dark blue 1981 Ford LTD Station Wagon with New Jersey plates 861-PKY. He was employed by Haug Die Casting Co. at the time. William was wearing a dark brown suede coat, a blue or white Oxford dress shirt with dress slacks and dress shoes. He was also wearing a watch. first went to a bowling alley on Stiles Street after departing his home, and then to St. George’s Diner. He left the diner at approximately 1:30 a.m. and neither he nor the car has ever been seen again. Roselle park authorities are handling this investigation.
William is originally from Pennsylvania, and he is one of ten children. He graduated from Temple University in Pennsylvania in 1969 with an accounting degree. He is a decorated United States Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He has an inch-long scar on his chin and a half-inch scar on his right ear. His nickname is Bill. He wears a 6 1/2 in shoes, which is a small size for his height. Dental charts are available online. Williams case remains unsolved.

The Missing Nick Zizzamia

Nicholas Peter Zizzamia left his parents’ house in Cherry Hill on May 12, 1979, to drive to Villanova University in Pennsylvania to pick up tickets for their graduation ceremony on May 12. He was a senior accounting major at the university at the time. He never showed up at the university. When his parents attended the ceremony, their son was not there. He has never been heard from again. The vehicle Nicholas was last seen driving was found parked and locked behind his father’s business, a barbershop on Grove Street, in Cherry Hill, on May 15, three days after his disappearance. Nothing suspicious was found inside the car. He was last seen wearing a tan sweater with blue jeans and white sneakers.
Nicholas never used his driver’s license, his Social Security number or his credit card after his disappearance.
One theory that has been brought forward was that Nicholas may have committed suicide or left on his own accord; his friends stated he was unhappy with his life and had spoken about wanting to vanish.
Nicholas was an only child. His parents hired a private detective to try and find him, but without success. His mother died in 2003 and his father died in 2012. His case remains unsolved.

The Missing Mario Saavedra

Mario F. Saavedra was 20 years old when he was last seen by his mother on April 11, 1986 in Jersey City. He was a college student at Jersey City State College when he was last seen going to a Bible study group. He had later called his family to tell them that he was planning on staying at a friends house. He never came home. His vehicle was found abandoned in front of a pizza parlor in the neighborhood. Mario has an undisclosed medical condition. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with maroon athletic pants and a pair of white athletic shoes. He has a vertical scar on his left cheek.

He has a scar on his left eye and discoloration on his left knee.

She was making her way back home to her parents who lived in Detroit. Charlotte never arrived in Michigan, although her luggage did. She has a scar on her forehead and previously broken arm.
