Mario was a student at Jersey City State College. On the day he disappeared, he told his mother that he was going to a Bible study group. Later, he called his family and said he planned to spend the night at a friend’s house.
He never came home.
🚗 The vehicle he had been driving, his father’s 1985 Subaru, was later found abandoned in front of a neighborhood pizza parlor in Cliffside Park, New Jersey.
Mario’s family said he had become increasingly interested in religion before his disappearance and had traveled as far as Pennsylvania to attend conventions involving different denominations. On the day he vanished, he also sent a letter to his brother mentioning “a new realization with God.”
His family described Mario as sometimes being too gullible and speculated that he may have become involved with a cult, but this remains a family theory and has not been established as fact.
⚠️ Mario was reported to have an undisclosed medical condition.
👕 At the time of his disappearance, he was reportedly wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, navy blue sweatpants, and white sneakers.
