The Missing Tonee Turner

The Missing
Tonee Turner
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Tonee Marie Turner was 22 years old when she disappeared from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 30th 2019. She was reported to have gone to work and afterwards she spent a short time at the Dobra Tea shop in Squirrel Hill, PA. An employee at the tea shop stated that Tonee left at around 6:00 p.m. and hopped on a bus. The driver says she exited the bus on the corner of Hazelwood Avenue and Giddings Street, which was her usual stop, as it was close to her home. Tonee had been speaking on the phone with her sister Sydnee at this time. That was the last time Tonee Turner has been heard from.
At 8:00 p.m. the same day, a firefighter walking across the Homestead Grays Bridge nearly 3 miles from Tonee’s bus stop found her purse, shoes and a ceramic pot on the pedestrian walkway. Inside the purse contained her phone, keys, wallet, her diary and a water bottle.
The next day, December 31, the firefighter called Tonee’s family to give her belongings back. This was when she was reported missing to police.
Inside her diary, investigators did not see anything suspicious, but her newer entries explained that she was in a sad mood lately.
According to her sister, Tonee was due to move in with her in just 4 days.
Tonee is a Black/Caucasian female standing at 5’3” and weighing 130 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. Her hair length was just past her chin at the time. Tonee has her nose and her ears pierced and she has a “Labret” piercing under her bottom lip. She also has a tattoo of a spiral pattern on her left shoulder. She was last seen wearing a black zip up jacket, a gray shirt with the phrase “Habla Espanol” in orange letters on the back, with gray cargo pants and a possible black head wrap. Tonee’s family has emphasized that it is completely out of character for anything like this to happen. She is known to always be in contact with family and friends. Tonee is a full time metal fabricator at a place called Studebakers Metals in Braddock, PA and is also a ceramics teacher at the Braddock Carnegie Library’s ceramics studio.
Tonee Turner’s case is considered suspicious and remains unsolved.
